Experience adventure with the dog

Boredom was yesterday! Dog owners have the best prerequisite to integrate small adventures for themselves and the dog into everyday life. We present six microadventures that you should definitely try once.

Microadventures are a great way for dog owners to harness the power of adventure in their everyday lives without having to travel with their dog, buy expensive equipment, or spend weeks researching information about the country and its people. In addition, shared adventures strengthen the bond between man and dog. Behind the idea of microadventures is primarily the question: why not start today? Or better yet, why not start it today with dog? You can certainly put these six adventures into action.

Adventure 1: Boating with the dog

Have you ever been boating with your dog? You don't have to travel far to do so; every major city has parks with ponds and boat rentals. So let's go to new shores!

Adventure 2: Geocaching with dog

Geocaching has fallen out of fashion a bit, but it's no less exciting because of it. There are straightforward apps and great tours that show you new trails. In most cases, it is even indicated whether the tour is also suitable for dogs.

Adventure 3: Tree Action

On your next walk, incorporate every tree you can! Practice sending your dog around, hide treats in the bark while the dog has to wait, let him climb over tree trunks and hide food or objects behind them.

Adventure 4: The silent walk

Try not using your voice for a walk. Train with body language and visual signals. Entice your dog by clapping your hands, but don't make a sound with your mouth. It's a good exercise to find out how much we actually talk to our dogs unnecessarily.

Adventure 5: Hiking with a dog backpack

Backpacking with a dog also works on a small scale. There are actually dogs that are fine with carrying things, even on their backs. In particular, these are often breeds that used to be used for draft work. For backpacking, you will need a harness with panniers. Complementary, you can put your dog's food ration in there to let him hunt down his own food bags on the walk.

Adventure 6: Fit with dog

Your own dog is a good motivator against the personal pig dog. He forces you to go out! And so that you do something for yourself, you can put on some sports shoes and comfortable clothes and do some exercises outside: Push-ups on park benches, wall sits on trees, and mountain climbers while the dog fetches. Set a number beforehand so you can check your personal increase regularly.
